New internet plan comparison — Sky Select
If rising bills, recurring interruptions or slow speeds have you thinking about switching, Sky Select can help you compare available new internet service options at your address. We cannot fix an existing Xfinity connection or manage your Xfinity account.
Sky Select number: (888) 728-1255 | Monday - Saturday | 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST
Independent new-service comparison. Availability, pricing and terms depend on your address and the offers available.
The right contact method depends on what you need. For an existing Xfinity account, go straight to Xfinity rather than a third-party comparison service.
Comcast is the company behind the Xfinity brand. If you search for Comcast customer service because you have a residential Xfinity account, Xfinity's official channels above are the right place to start. Sky Select is a separate business and has no access to Xfinity service records, technician scheduling, bill credits or account settings.
If your internet is down, first find out whether Xfinity has reported an outage at your address. A reported area outage and a problem with one home device can require different next steps.
Use Xfinity's outage map (opens in a new tab) or app. You may need to sign in or enter the service address to see local details.
Xfinity recommends checking basic power and cable connections and using its app or Xfinity Assistant for account-specific diagnostics.
Follow Xfinity's current guidance for your gateway or equipment rather than repeatedly power-cycling devices. A restart temporarily interrupts connected services; consult Xfinity's instructions, especially if you rely on its home phone service.
Xfinity can review your account, provide service-specific updates, and advise whether further action is required. Sky Select cannot diagnose or repair the problem.
See Xfinity's official outage guidance (opens in a new tab), what to do when service is out (opens in a new tab) and gateway troubleshooting (opens in a new tab).
If you recently lost service, Xfinity says you may be eligible for an outage credit and that it applies one automatically when an account qualifies. You can also check eligibility in Xfinity Support (opens in a new tab) or with Xfinity Assistant (opens in a new tab). Eligibility is decided by Xfinity and isn't guaranteed. Sky Select cannot request or issue credits.
A higher bill can come from a promotional price ending, equipment or other fees, or a change to your plan. It helps to know which one applies before you decide anything.
With Xfinity, your current provider
Review your statement and ask Xfinity what changed on your actual bill, including when any promotional price ends and which fees apply. Only Xfinity can explain or adjust your account, starting from its official contact page (opens in a new tab).
With Sky Select, new service
If you would rather look at other providers, we can help you compare new internet service at your address. We cannot see or change your Xfinity bill, negotiate it, or tell you in advance what you would save.
Prices, availability and terms vary by address. Confirm them with the provider before you order.
Wi-Fi inside your home and the internet connection coming into it are not the same thing. A weak signal in one room can feel like slow internet even when the connection itself is fine.
Xfinity's app and Assistant offer a connection test that can help tell the two apart. If you are still thinking about a new plan, these are the things worth comparing:
Compare the kinds of service offered at your address, such as fiber, cable, home 5G or satellite, and what each one involves.
Match speeds to what your household actually does: video calls, streaming, gaming and the number of connected devices.
Availability and speeds depend on the exact address, so confirm what can really be installed where you live.
No provider can promise a faster or outage-free connection, and a new plan will not fix a weak in-home Wi-Fi signal on its own. The Internet Speed Guide explains how much speed different households tend to need.
You do not have to choose a new provider because of one bad day. If changing service is already on your mind, this is a sensible order to work in.
Availability can change from one street to the next, so start with the address where you need service.
Look at total monthly cost, when promotions end, equipment and installation fees, and plan terms.
Ask when service can start, and consider keeping your current service until the new one is working to avoid a gap.
Confirm cancellation, equipment return and final billing directly with Xfinity. Sky Select cannot cancel or change your Xfinity account.
Looking at fiber? Learn about AT&T Fiber and the questions to ask when checking availability at your address. Availability is not guaranteed.

Not necessarily. Start dates depend on the provider, your address and installation scheduling, so confirm timing before cancelling anything. Switching also won't repair a current outage, and no provider can promise zero outages.
No. Only Xfinity can cancel or change your Xfinity account. Comparing new options with Sky Select does not change or cancel it.
